While the Rebecca Jane Foundation's primary focus is providing financial assistance for baby funerals, we also understand that grief encompasses far more than financial burdens.
We want to assure those navigating this profound loss that a supportive community of individuals and organisations are available to help them through this challenging time.
The organisations listed offer national support, however many state and local groups also provide invaluable assistance.
If you are having to navigate the difficult journey of grief, please know you are not alone. We understand that grief is deeply personal, and each person's journey is different, however reaching out, especially to another parent who has been down this path, can be incredibly validating. You'll discover that your feelings are normal, that you're not 'losing it,' and that you can find a way to live with your baby's memory as a cherished part of your life.
Sharing your experiences – the dreams, the emptiness, the raw emotions – with someone who gets it can be really helpful.
As the saying goes, 'hard is hard.' Your pain is real and valid. Please don't hesitate to connect with the organisations listed below, some of whom have been founded by parents who have experienced their own loss.
Please note, only national organisations have been listed, there are many smaller state based community groups who are equally as helpful. We will try in time to include all of them.
Don't forget in all this to take care of you!
With my warmest regards, Robyn (Becky's mum)
